1977
Amalgamation
1977: Expressway Transport Industries and Civic Transport Services amalgamate. Expressway specialised in Taxi Truck and General Light Freight Deliveries, while Civic specialised in Transporting Furniture to Country Towns throughout Western Australia
1982
Couriers
The Directors acquire the liquidated shell of Courier Company, Falcon Freightlines (Aust) Pty Ltd. Trading under this name, Falcon Freightlines was soon an enormously successful Courier Operation and a major contributor to the groups overall performance.
1985
Parry's
Expressway Transport Industries successfully tenders for and supplies the logistical requirements of Retail Furniture Giant "Parrys". Including 10 owner drivers and associated administration tasks. This was a hugely successful partnership.
1987
Civic Sold
Civic Transport Services (Country Division) is sold to Gascoyne Removals. This allows Expressway Transport to concentrate solely on their Metropolitan Delivery Service..
1988
Time To Merge
After the acquisition several small companies each run as separate entities, it's decided to merge the whole operation under one banner -
Expressway Transport.
A change of direction sees the companies growth in also providing Logistical and Storage solutions as part of the whole Transport package.
