<![CDATA[LEADERS IN TRANSPORT... - News]]>Sat, 09 May 2020 16:48:45 +0800Weebly<![CDATA[A need for Speed!]]>Mon, 14 Oct 2019 03:28:50 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/a-need-for-speedIf you have goods that need to be delivered Urgently, then call us for a Screamer!
Our Screamer Service caters for local Urgent Deliveries that need to get there fast. Once we receive your booking it is dispatched to the nearest available driver. He will collect your goods and deliver them direct to point of drop off. Whilst we endeavour to get it there in the quickest possible way , we do obey the road laws unlike the majority of the below drivers caught on dash cam behaving badly. In most instances Speed was a major factor.
And while we can have a laugh and gasp or two, these videos just go to show us how easy it is to lose control of a vehicle and important lessons can be learned. Safe driving everyone!

<![CDATA[ADHOC SPECIALISTS]]>Tue, 01 Oct 2019 02:32:40 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/adhoc-specialistsPicture
Ad hoc is a word that originally comes from Latin and means “for this” or "for this situation." It is used to describe something that has been formed or used for a special and immediate purpose, without previous planning.
In Transport it simply means you can ring and we deliver!
Our Adhoc servce means you are not reliant on a drivers set suburb run and cut off times in order to get your goods delivered. When you call your booking in, it is allocated to the closest driver who will pick it up and ensure it is delivered on the same day. No need to miss a cut off time and wait for the next day. Just give Expressway a call and discover the convenience of adhoc!

<![CDATA[Good old fashioned customer service]]>Fri, 13 Sep 2019 15:59:34 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/good-old-fashioned-customer-serviceDid you know Expressway Transport has been in operation for over 45 years now? We are an independently owned and operated Family concern with a focus on good old fashioned customer service. Our main focus is on you. Do we get it right all the time? No...... But do we do everything within our power to make it right if we get it wrong? ..... Yes.
Transport is an industry where anything can go wrong. We are reliant on many factors outside of our control at times, such as weather, traffic accidents and of course mechanical breakdowns. And whilst this is common place for us, we understand that our customers don't want to hear excuses, they simply want solutions.

Enter Maddison.......... Maddi is our fix it girl, just one of the many hats she wears, and an integral part of our team. For the best part hers is a thankless job (other than the praise we rain down on her). So when someone takes the time to express their gratitude for her effort, it can make all the difference.
Well done Maddi for your outstanding dedication to ensuring that Expressways reputation for Good Old Fashioned Customer Service remains intact. Congratulations on the feedback.
Please note that we have a customer compliments and complaints page. It's 2nd nature to moan and complain when something goes wrong, but rarely do we react and feel compelled to compliment when good service is given.
It really is the little things that can mean so much to someone. Try it - it's a feel good thing!

<![CDATA[compliments and complaints]]>Mon, 26 Aug 2019 00:30:00 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/compliments-and-complaintsWell we're putting ourselves out there, so take a moment to love us or hate us.
Personally we believe in spreading the love.
Seriously though we've implemented a compliments and complaints form, and would ask that if you've got something nice (or bad) to share, that you please take a moment to let us know.
We can only improve if we know the problems and we only know we're getting it right when you tell us.
Thanks so much for your time.

<![CDATA[TRUCK FAILS]]>Wed, 21 Aug 2019 00:30:00 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/truck-fails
It's Whacky Wednesday and we're here to help you get up and over Hump Day! Expressway is proud to present a little something we found whilst doing important research on the net. A Best Truck Fails compilation (to be watched in your leisure time of course.)
All we can say is that none of these drivers are employed on the Expressway Fleet. (That we know of)

<![CDATA[overloading]]>Mon, 19 Aug 2019 00:30:00 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/overloadingWe all like to save money and getting as much as you can in one load is certainly a priority BUT make sure it's on the appropriate vehicle for the load you have. The legal term "Mass overloading" refers to trailers, Trucks and vehicles loaded above their capacity and the Transport Industry is targeting this offence now. It's a surprisingly good money maker. It's important to know about the Chain of Responsibility Laws and familiarise yourself with them to ensure your staff and beyond are covered. You can find a link to Chain of Responsibility laws under our legals menu.
If a mass overload offence occurs, charges can be brought against the:
 • driver
 • driver’s employer or prime contractor
 • operator
 • consignor
 • packer
 • loading manager
 • loader

<![CDATA[bigger the better]]>Thu, 15 Aug 2019 00:30:00 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/bigger-the-betterPicture
Well it's a little way down the track now since Expressway and Kirby Transport companies amalgamated and things have gone from big to bigger with relative ease. The addition of Semi's to the Expressway fleet was a bold move instigated by Expressways Founder John, who we are sure is looking down on us with a satisfied smile.
Our fleet of Semi's and specialised Hi-ab and Power Tail lift vehicles are in big demand. There's not a lot we can't move. We're not just Couriers and Home removals, we are a team of many talents!!.
If you need something a little bigger moved then give us a call and let Kirby Hi-ab and Logistics get you going.

<![CDATA[save money on your removal]]>Mon, 12 Aug 2019 00:30:00 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/save-money-on-your-removalPicture
The cost of your removal can be more than you anticipated if you don't do a few vital things. Sure, if you've got the money then sit back and let us do all the work! It's what we do best. But if you're on a budget there's a few things you can do to ensure you get the best value for your buck...
Our trucks come with 2 men and are fully equipped to handle the biggest of removals. However if you're wanting to have a little cash left over for an ice cold beer after your move, then here's a few tips.
 1. If possible move during the week. Weekend removals can incur extra rates charges, not to mention they interrupt the Footy!
 2. Pack all belongings into sturdy boxes/bags/cases. Avoid smaller loose items like game stations etc . Not only is there a chance of damage but time is wasted finding pockets to pack them securely. And Time adds up.
 3. Use bubble wrap on breakables. Not only will you save damage to your precious items, you will be able to fit more items in less boxes. Yes, it sounds crazy but it's true. Give it a try....
 4. Ensure that you move as many boxes and items into a central area nearest your door. This stops not only foot traffic through the house but cuts a large amount of removal time out. Saving you money money money...
 5. Garden furniture and tools should all be placed near best exit point. Swing sets and items that can be dismantled should be done so prior to our drivers arriving.
 6. Mark all box destinations in Large Bold print. Our drivers will take your boxes to their respective rooms if properly marked. A good idea is to pop a post it note on respective bedroom doors prior to removalists arrival to streamline your move further. EG: Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2 , Master
 7. Pack your own car and as many friends cars as you can find, with as many small items/boxes that you can fit in and if practical drop them at your new home prior to removal.
 8. Always ensure prior to booking that you have the keys to your new residence and that drivers will have no waiting time. You are responsible for time spent waiting around regardless if it's the real estates fault, previous owners or an Alien invasion (although the last could qualify for a discount, contact our team if the need arises)
 9. Have your payment method ready. If it's cash then make sure you have more than you estimated to cover those things that pop up, it's murphy's law!
 10. And finally. Our guys are professionals and know how to get the job done with care in a timely manner. There's a reason they've put Grandmas cabinet in before Grandads bar extravaganza. If you let them do their job with as little interference as possible - your bank balance will thank you......

And we'd like to take a moment to extend a huge thank you to them all for the amazing work they do.

<![CDATA[NEW YEAR, NEW LOOK!]]>Mon, 14 Jan 2019 16:00:00 GMThttp://expresswaytransport.com.au/news/new-year-new-lookWell with the New Year comes a new look for the Expressway Site.
With the acquisition of Kirby Hiabs and the partnership with Swan Taxi Trucks last year, we've seen a lot of changes and added services. The changes on our site reflect this and we'll be focusing on implementing web features that assist our loyal customer base.

For 2 years we distributed our Express Newsletter, which sadly due to time restrictions we had to cease. However we have now added a blog to our site, where we can post when we need with any changes and news pertaining to the Expressway Group of Companies to help us keep in touch.

Make sure to like our Facebook page to keep updated on new blog post - Happy New Year!....
